Teen Leadership Weekend

March 14-16/17, 2025

Ages 15-17

Hey there, teens! Ready for a weekend filled with fun and purpose? Join us at Camp Galilee for a unique volunteer experience where you’ll dive into classic camp activities while helping to prepare our beautiful camp for the summer season.

For Teen Leadership Weekend (TLW), you’ll get to connect with other teens and enjoy outdoor fun like hiking, games, and campfire songs. Plus, if you’re interested in the Counselor In Training LIGHT program or summer staff positions, this is your chance to ask questions, meet our amazing Galilee staff, and maybe even have an interview!

Don’t miss out on this awesome opportunity to make a difference and kickstart the summer!

The fun kicks off with dinner on Friday, March 14, and wraps up after dinner on Sunday, March 16. If you’re traveling from Las Vegas, you’ll stay Sunday night and take a van home after breakfast on Monday the 17th. The weekend costs $75, including meals and work supplies.

Counselor Training

June 17-26, 2025

Ages 16 and above

Love the outdoors and working with kids? Want a job this summer? Imagine yourself in the beautiful landscapes of Lake Tahoe, where every day brings new adventures!

Galilee’s Counselor Training program is designed to equip young leaders with the skills and knowledge necessary to provide a supportive and enriching environment for campers. CT focuses on developing leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills, alongside fostering spiritual growth and understanding of Episcopal values. Trainees engage in workshops, role-playing scenarios, and hands-on activities that emphasize teamwork, empathy, and inclusivity. Additionally, they learn about safety protocols, first aid, and conflict resolution to ensure a safe and nurturing environment for all campers. The program not only prepares counselors to be effective leaders but also encourages personal growth and a deeper connection to their spirituality, creating a transformative experience that extends beyond the summer camp setting.

LIGHT (Leaders Igniting Growth and Harmony Together) Leadership Program

June 29-July 11, 2025, with a break from July 3-5

Ages 15 & 16

IGNITE YOUR SUMMER! Are you a 15 or 16-year-old with a passion for camp life, mentoring younger campers, and personal growth? Join our LIGHT Leadership Program at Galilee, where you’ll dive into an unforgettable two-session adventure!

This program isn’t just about learning; it’s about transforming your love for camp into real-life skills. You’ll gain hands-on experience in teamwork, communication, youth development, and activity planning—all while having a blast with friends! Enjoy outdoor adventures, chill by the lake, and make lasting memories as you sing around the campfire under the stars.

By completing the LIGHT Program, you’ll significantly boost your chances of becoming a Galilee counselor in the future. Plus, earn up to 15 service hours that count towards your school or community projects!

* Please note that the LIGHT Program features a competitive application process, ensuring that we select dedicated and enthusiastic participants who are truly passionate about becoming Camp Galilee leaders. Youth Adventures #4

July 20 – 25, 2025

Ages 13-15

Get ready for one of the most meaningful and adventure-filled weeks of your life, complete with kayaking, rock climbing, and sleeping under the stars with new and old friends! Galilee’s Youth Adventures Sessions are carefully planned to create a welcoming community where participants have opportunities to step away from regular life and create new relationships, challenge themselves, learn more about themselves and the world around them, and enjoy the beauty of God’s creation.
