Hey there, teens!

Just as spring is about to bloom, join us for Galilee’s Teen Leadership Weekend for everyone ages 15-17. This free weekend event will feature a blend of hanging out, engaging activities, a potential service project to help prepare for summer, cozy evening campfires, and fun games. If there’s snow, be ready for some snowshoeing, snow creature building, and plenty of hot chocolate.

 

Learn About the LIGHT Program and Counselor Opportunities

For those interested in potentially joining the LIGHT Program (for ages 15-16) or becoming a Camp Counselor (you must be at least 16 and have completed 10th grade by spring 2026), this is a fantastic opportunity to ask questions, meet the staff, and even have an opportunity to go through an interview (must fill out an application prior).

 
Don’t miss out on this awesome opportunity to make a difference and kickstart the summer!
 

The fun kicks off with dinner on Friday, March 13, and wraps up after dinner on Sunday, March 15. If you’re traveling from Las Vegas, you’ll stay Sunday night and take a van home after breakfast on Monday the 16th. The weekend costs $100, including meals and work supplies.

Counselor Training

Love the outdoors and working with kids? Want a job this summer? Imagine yourself in the beautiful landscapes of Lake Tahoe, where every day brings new adventures! 
 
Galilee’s Counselor Training program is designed to equip young leaders with the skills and knowledge necessary to provide a supportive and enriching environment for campers. CT focuses on developing leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills, alongside fostering spiritual growth and understanding of Episcopal values. Trainees engage in workshops, role-playing scenarios, and hands-on activities that emphasize teamwork, empathy, and inclusivity. Additionally, they learn about safety protocols, first aid, and conflict resolution to ensure a safe and nurturing environment for all campers. The program not only prepares counselors to be effective leaders but also encourages personal growth and a deeper connection to their spirituality, creating a transformative experience that extends beyond the summer camp setting.

IGNITE YOUR SUMMER! Are you a 15 or 16-year-old with a passion for camp life, mentoring younger campers, and personal growth? Join our LIGHT Leadership Program at Galilee, where you’ll dive into an unforgettable two-session adventure!


This free summer camping program isn’t just about learning; it’s about transforming your love for camp into real-life skills. You’ll gain hands-on experience in teamwork, communication, youth development, and activity planning—all while having a blast with friends! Enjoy outdoor adventures, chill by the lake, and make lasting memories as you sing around the campfire under the stars.


By completing the LIGHT Program, you’ll significantly boost your chances of becoming a Galilee counselor in the future. Plus, earn up to 15 service hours that count towards your school or community projects!

* Please note that the LIGHT Program features a competitive application process, ensuring that we select dedicated and enthusiastic participants who are truly passionate about becoming Camp Galilee leaders. It also helps our applicants start building job skills. This process will involve a timely application, references, and an interview process. Additionally, if you are accepted into the LIGHT Program you aren’t able to attend Adventure Session #4 as a camper.

Youth Adventures Session #4

Get ready for one of the most meaningful and adventure-filled weeks of your life, complete with kayaking, rock climbing, and sleeping under the stars with new and old friends! Galilee’s Youth Adventures Sessions are carefully planned to create a welcoming community where participants have opportunities to step away from regular life and create new relationships, challenge themselves, learn more about themselves and the world around them, and enjoy the beauty of God’s creation. 

*Please note that if you are accepted into the LIGHT Program you aren’t able to attend Adventure Session #4 as a camper.
