The Lake Tahoe Shakespeare Festival offers world-class performances of Shakespeare during the summer in an open air amphitheater at Sand Harbor, just fifteen minutes from camp. Great food and drink and the amazing backdrop of the sunset over the lake make this a truly amazing theater experience!
The Tahoe Arts Project is a wonderful non-profit that brings all kinds of arts programs into the community, primarily serving South Lake. In particular, they offer many excellent opportunities for children to explore the arts.
Tahoe Art League makes the visual arts more accessible to the community through classes, workshops and galleries. They offer a variety of short workshops throughout the summer that could be a wonderful complement to your time at Galilee.
Tahoe Arts and Mountain Culture serves as a clearinghouse for information on all kinds of different artists, cultural events, and creative opportunities around Lake Tahoe.
Reno is Artown during the month of July, with near constant performances of national-level headliners in music, dance, theater and other art forms. In 2013, Artown boasted nearly 500 events, more than 100 workshops and over 30 ongoing programs.
TOCCATA – Tahoe Symphony Orchestra & Chorus offers wonderful classical and choral music in the greater Tahoe Area.
