Camp Galilee Privacy Statement

The Galilee Episcopal Camp and Conference Center (GECCC) and all of its stakeholders and affiliates (collectively referred to as GECCC) respect an individual's right to the confidential exchange and use of personal information. GECCC uses the Internet and related technology tools to collect, record, integrate, analyze and share information. This privacy policy relates to individuals submitting general and/or personal information directly to GECCC. The policy also relates to information received from third parties who have engaged GECCC to provide programs, facilities and or related services.

Protecting your privacy is important to us. We hope the following statement will help you understand how GECCC collects, uses, and safeguards the personal information entrusted to us.

Information Collection and Use

When you browse the GECCC Web site, you do so anonymously. We do not collect personal information - including your e-mail address, unless you supply it to us. We do log your IP address (the Internet address of your computer) to give us an idea of which parts of our Web sites you visit and how long you spend there. But we do not link your IP address to anything personally identifiable. The only other information automatically provided to us is the type of computer and operating system you are using. Your browser supplies us with this information, which we use to determine which browsers and operating systems we should design our products for.

Those signing up to be on GECCC's mailing list or registering to use GECCC's products or services voluntarily give us their name, e-mail address, home or business postal address, telephone and fax numbers, credit card information and other unique identification information about themselves, their organization and the nature of their work. They also may voluntarily check boxes on a form to indicate interest in one or more of GECCC's products or services. Individuals purchasing GECCC products or services over the Web may also provide personal financial information.

We hold this information in strict confidence and do not share that with other parties except where explicitly described in program or service descriptions. Some interactive services may rely on the input of personal information and in those cases, product descriptions explicitly state how that information will be used.

Before submitting any personal information, including credit card information, we advise you that the information submitted will only be used by GECCC to provide you with requested services and keep you apprised of new GECCC-related activities. We will not sell or share your information with any third party unless such parties are specifically contracted to provide products or services to GECCC. In such case, those parties will be subject to the same strict privacy policy that we maintain relative to personal information and such information will not be re-sold. GECCC does not host or target advertising to visitors.

Personal Medical Information

In accordance with industry norms and legislative mandates, GECCC adheres to the guideline that all decisions about disclosure of personal medical information must be made by the individual and the care provider (including healthcare organizations involved in the delivery of health care services). Therefore, GECCC will only transmit personal medical information to third parties when authorized to do so by the applicable care provider and (i) authorized or consented to by the patient (if required); or (ii) when compelled by law.

Cookies

The GECCC Web site may provide visitors the option to set a "cookie" on various pages. Cookies are small text files a Web site can use to recognize repeat visitors and facilitate access to the site. Cookies are most frequently used to automatically log you in without having to enter a username and password at each visit. GECCC does not share cookie information with any other party. The cookie is used solely to facilitate your access to the site. Sometimes browsers do not indicate when a cookie is being set. GECCC recommends that you configure your browser to display this information so that you will be aware when cookies are being set.

Web Site Use Issues

As a service to you, some of our sites contain links to other sites. Unfortunately we cannot control the privacy practices or the content of other Web sites. At your request, GECCC may supplement information you provide with information that is received from third parties. This is done to improve the quality of information that you receive from our site.
